Our History
In 1976 a young couple, Pastor Lam and his wife, from Hong Kong, moved by the Holy Spirit, came to Orange County. By God’s guidance and the support of American Baptist Churches of the Pacific-Southwest and First Baptist Church of Garden Grove, First Chinese Baptist Church was established on March 6th.
The church moved to Fountain Valley in 1978, and obtained the Non-profit Religious Organization status the next year.
On August 15th, 1985, the church moved to the current location in Irvine, and changed its name to Irvine First Chinese Baptist Church.
By God's grace, the church continues to thrive over the years. Sundays, cell groups and Bible studies for different ages are established.
